I’m Bruce Wilson and president of New Deer show this year.
I shouldn’t have time to write this as we should have been flat out making ready for show weekend.
I work at home in the family business hauling livestock. I’m married to Jen and we have a little girl Katie.
“New Deer Show has been part of my life for a very long time.”
My 1st involvement was when a Friday night was 5 a-side football and the excitement of playing with the funfair in the background. It then moved onto helping my granda on a sat morning in the cattle lines. He himself was president of the show 50years this year.
Then when legal limit for drinking ? it was the marquee dances on Friday and a Saturday nigh. Before getting roped into the bosses job I was involved in the cattle lines which makes a very busy lead up to the show and a stressful Saturday morning ?
The show is always changing but it would not be possible without our fantastic committee and volunteers who really put in a power of work.
The show today wouldn’t be what it is today without the fabulous support from our sponsors.
